Frequently Asked Questions
As a NJ wedding photographer, I usually get asked tons and tons of questions and rightfully so! You have to make sure the person you are hiring to capture the most important day of your life is capable and competent enough.
So if you are a bride looking for some answers from a wedding photographer, hopefully this list will have some for you.
How much do you charge?
Definitely the first, most asked, and most important question. With experience of over 5 years and close to capturing 200 weddings, I doubt there is any scenario or lighting that I haven't shot in. As with anything else, there is always good, better and best and I pride myself in providing quality and service that is top tier!
While wedding photography packages start at $1999, average investment is around $3500 for a full day of coverage ( 8 hours) with two photographers and digital files. A la carte items may be added to any wedding package including but not limited to; additional photographers, bridal sessions, videographer, Engagement/Wedding albums etc. For packages and more information, please click here
Do you travel? Are there any additional travel charges?
Yes! We do travel to wherever your love story takes us. Be it in NJ, Bahamas, or anywhere else on the planet. There are no additional charges however I do require nightly stay at a hotel closest to the venue if the wedding is over 50 miles from Woodbridge, NJ.
What are some of the venues that you have shot at?
Quite often to I get asked what are venues where I had photographed and documented weddings. As a NJ Wedding photographer, I have shot at many prestigious venue's across the tri-state and even though the list is ever growing, here is a summary of some of the finest wedding banquet hall's and venues where I had the pleasure of documenting weddings.
How many photos do we get?
Every wedding is so different that it is difficult to put an exact number but I do typically find myself shooting about 160-180 photos per hour and end up delivering around 125-150 per hour.
What equipment do you use?
I only use the best Canon DSLR's and lenses money can buy! Here is a short list of the goodies I use to capture your precious moments:
• Multiple Profoto B1 strobes • Multiple Flashpoint XPLOR 600 PRO • Multiple Flashpoint eVOLV 200 • Multiple Flashpoint Zoom Li-on R2 • Multiple Canon 600EX-RT
CAMERAS & LENSES:
• Multiple Canon 5D MKIV • Multiple Canon 5D MKIII • Canon 6D MK I • Sigma 35mm f/1.4 ART DG HSM • Canon 85mm f/1.4L IS USM • Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS • Canon 135mm f/2.0L • Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS MKII
What if equipment breaks at the wedding? Then what?
Machines break, that is what they do but have no fear! I always have backups of backups! If something breaks, I got a replacement ready to go to take its place. Not only do I have backups of backups for equipment used at your wedding but I also do multiple backups of your wedding coverage as well. With multiple terabytes of redundant hard drives and cloud backups of those backups, your memories are safe with me.
Do you have insurance?
Absolutely! As a New Jersey Wedding photographer, having insurance is a must and will be happy to provide your wedding venue with proof of coverage.
What is your delivery turnaround?
Photos are typically delivered within 4-6 weeks and video turnaround is usually 10-12 weeks. With photos, video and album usually the turnaround is 6 months or less.
What if you get sick and can't make it?
Short of hospitalization, I will be there! in 2017 I had an accident that ended up giving me spinal fractures (yes multiple!) but that still didn't stop me from getting to the wedding I was scheduled for with a neck brace on. Remember how I said I have backups of backups? Same applies here. God forbid for any medical emergency if I can't make it, I will have a replacement photographer there to cover for me. This detail is also noted in the contract.
What is your payment schedule?
At the time of signing the contract, a 40% retainer is due with remaining balance due 30 days before the wedding day. Entirely up to you on how many payments you make after the retainer as long as all dues are paid 30 calendar days before the wedding
